Events
The Brisbane History Group organises four or five events each year which focus on particular historic themes, locations or events that have shaped Brisbane and the local community. Typically they take the form of afternoon seminars (multiple presenters), visits or conducted tours. Sometimes a combination. All events are open to members guests and the general public and most are held at the week-end.
There is a forward programme, however, if you have any suggestions for particular topics to be covered, or would like to make a presentation, please do not hesitate to contact us. Ideas for future activities need not necessarily be limited to our traditional format. Organisers and presenters volunteer their time, however, there is the opportunity for papers to be published as part of BHG’s ongoing commitment to making quality historical research available to a wider audience.
Details of recent and planned events are detailed below (including date claimers for the year) and the attached BHG Events schedule is a listing of previous BHG events since 1981. To assist with determining catering requirements we encourage attendees to pre-book for events.
