Redcoats to Diggers, Papers 29 in our Historic Papers Series, is one of our largest volumes to date, with a total of sixteen chapters. The papers were drawn primarily from presentations made at four of our seminars namely ‘Victoria Barracks and the Defence of the Colony’, ‘The Peace’, ‘Anzac Square: Development and Anzac centenary refurbishment’, and ‘Lest We Forget: Milne Bay – Gona – Sanananda’. Like Father, Like Son, No 14 in our Historical Studies Series, is a detailed genealogical study of Richard Harding Watt who as a young man spent time in Brisbane in the mid 1860s. His local legacy is a series of sketches of the townscape, his built legacy a number of distinctive, now heritage listed, villas and public buildings in his home town of Knutsford in the UK.
